Sachin Tendulkar is like a cricket library, says Mumbai captain Aditya Tare
Mumbai are on the verge of making it to yet another Ranji final.
New Delhi: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been described by teammates and opponents in numerous glowing terms right through his illustrious career.
Just as the cricketing fraternity was running out of adjectives for the legend, Mumbai skipper Aditya Tare came up with a rather interesting one.
Speaking to The Hindu, Tare hailed the former India skipper's contribution to the progress of his side in the Ranji Trophy this season.
“Our’s is a young team and Tendulkar sir has been a big help to us. He is an inspiration to all of us. He still shows a lot of interest in Mumbai cricket,” Tare said on Monday.
“Tendulkar sir spends time with us whenever possible, keeps meeting us. And he’s like a cricket library. If you have any question on batting, bowling, fielding or even wicket-keeping, you just have to approach and ask him. You will get the right answer,” the wicketkeeper-batsman further added.
Mumbai are on the verge of making it to yet another Ranji final after dominating Madhya Pradesh in the second semi-final.
After posting 371-run first innings total, they bowled out MP for 227.
Tare himself led from the front with 68 in the first innings and 109 in the second.
