Speaking to reporters on the eve of second T20I against Sri Lanka, Shastri said that while he was yet to see the pitch, the outfield according to him was dry.

"I haven't seen the pitches yet but what I see from the outfield it's pretty dry. Lot of sand on the outfield which clearly suggests that they did not have water here. I have not had a look at the pitch but we are game to play horses for courses.”

Shastri further added than India had enough resources in their arsenal to meet different conditions.

"That's what we did all the time and if the pitch demands, it will be that. If you think it's going to turn we have the resources and that's the idea of this team to have resources for different conditions."

India are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series after suffering a shocking defeat in the first match. The challenge for MS Dhoni and his boys would be to bounce back and level series in front of skipper's home crowd.
