Umar Gul eyes `strong comeback` in Pakistan`s national squad
Umar insisted that he is working really hard to get back into the national team.
Karachi: Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul, who was out of action due to recurring knee injury, has said that his sole aim is to make a strong comeback into the national side and felt that he is making a good progress towards the goal.
The 31-year-old, who has recently grabbed 23 wickets in 5 domestic matches, said that he has performed quite well after his unfortunate injury, PakPassion.net reported.
Considering it as an 'honour' to play for Pakistan, Umar insisted that he is working really hard to get back into the national team.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's yorker specialist, who last played against Bangladesh in April, also expressed his views on tainted bowler Mohammad Amir's comeback. He said it would be unfair for other players, who are performing well if Amir makes a comeback.
Speaking on his toughest opponent, Umar admitted that West Indies batsman Brian Lara was the most challenging opponent to bowl.
Umar appeared in 47 Test matches and claimed 163 wickets, while he has featured in 126 ODIs and bagged 173 wickets for Pakistan.
