Prime accused in Pak reporter`s murder killed
Geo News journalist Wali Khan Babar was shot dead in January 2011 in Liaquatabad area when he was returning home from office.
Islamabad: A prime accused in the murder of a reporter of Pakistan`s Geo News channel was killed on Saturday in a firefight with police in Karachi.
Geo News journalist Wali Khan Babar was shot dead in January 2011 in Liaquatabad area when he was returning home from office. Two armed robbers were injured in the gun-battle at 4 am on Saturday in Sea View area of the metropolis and were arrested. Four managed to escape.
One of the robbers, identified as Liaqat Ali, who was wanted in the Babar murder case, died from his injuries. Ali`s car was used in the reporter`s murder, police said.
