VIDEO: New Zealand`s Colin Munro speaks after smashing 2nd fastest international Twenty20 fifty
Munro took just 14 balls to score his whirlwind fifty.
New Delhi: New Zealand batsman Colin Munro smashed the Sri Lankan bowlers all around Eden Park as hosts romped off to a nine-wicket victory to seal the Twenty20 series.
Munro took just 14 balls to score his whirlwind fifty and became the second fastest batsman to notch this feat in international cricket. India's Yuvraj Singh has the record of the fastest T20 fifty (12 balls). He achieved the feat in 2007 ICC T20 World Cup against England.
He also became New Zealand's fastest half centurion in the shortest format of the game.
Munro hit a whooping seven sixes and finished the run-chase in style. Watch the Kiwi international speak about what was going on in his mind on the pitch at Eden Park.
Martin Guptill too hit a strokeful 63 off just 25 balls to give the Black Caps a much needed tempo. He shared a 89-run opening partnership with skipper Kane Williamson.
