When cricketer-turned-politician asked the PM whether a bilateral series between India and Pakistan could materialize, Modi responded with a smile.

“I don’t know how to decipher that smile of PM Modi. Whether he was for the series or he wasn’t. But as far as I am concerned I am positive that something positive will come out of it,” Imran said during the Agenda Aaj Tak programme.

The prospects of India playing Pakistan at a neutral venue like Sri Lanka appear slim at the moment. Pakistan PM has already given a green signal for the series, but the Indian government is yet to take a call on it.
