Messi, Suarez and other football superstars would be looking to enthrall the spectators by carrying on their spectacular goalscoring form for their respective countries in the Copa America Centenario starting from Saturday, June 4th.

To mark the 100th year of establishment of the CONEMBOL and CONCACAF, they have agreed to host a special edition of the tournament which was first held in 1916. The winner of this tournament will not receive an invitation to the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, as Chile have already qualified by winning the 2015 Copa América.


USA, as hosts, for first time


This is the first time that the Copa America is not hosted by a South American nation. The US provides state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to the teams, enabling them to unleash their full potential and entertain fans around the world with their flair.


Biggest Copa America ever


This is the first time that a record 16 teams will be contesting in the tournament. A sum of $21.5 million is set to be distributed propotionately among the top 8 teams, while the eventual winner is set to earn $6.6 million.


Argentina look to equal Uruguay record


The men from Arentina will be looking to win the tournament after losing in the finals to Chile last year. If they are able to win it, they will equal Uruguay's record of winning the title 15 times.
