Thane: NCP`s city unit president Jitendra Awhad and Maharashtra minister Babanrao Pachpute have been dropped from the list of star campaigners submitted by the party to the State Election Commission (SEC).
The Shiv Sena, MNS, Lok Bharathi and BSP have also submitted their list of 20 persons for the election campaign, while the BJP and Congress is yet to submit its list.
In the original list of 20 people, the names of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, state unit chief Madhukar Pichad, Praful Patel, Ajit Pawar, Awhad, and Pachpute were included. However in the revised list which has been submitted to the SEC, Awhad has been replaced with Ram Pandagle and Pachpute with Ganesh Naik.
The Shiv Sena has submitted the list of 20 persons which include Sena chief Bal Thackeray, executive president Uddahv Thackray and Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray.
The MNS list includes the names of party chief Raj Thackeray, and senior leaders Bala Nandgaonkar, and Shishir Shinde. PTI
