Meanwhile, Eva Carneiro to continue her case against Chelsea, Jose Mourinho
Carneiro is suing Chelsea for constructive dismissal and breach of contract, besides a separate but connected legal claim against Mourinho for alleged discrimination.
New Delhi: When Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sacked the club's most successful manager Jose Mourinho on Thursday, it became the talking point of not only the football world.
But somewhere, some staff members of the defending English champions were busy filing their defence before the midnight deadline on the infamous Eva Carneiro case.
According to reports in English media, the former Chelsea doctor will continue her legal case against the club and ex-manager Mourinho, despite the latest developments in Stamford Bridge.
The Gibraltar-born British sports medicine specialist left the club in September after being demoted after she and physio Jon Fearn attended injured Eden Hazard, inviting the wrath from the manager, during the 2-2 draw with Swansea on the opening day of the season.
Carneiro is suing Chelsea for constructive dismissal and breach of contract, besides a separate but connected legal claim against Mourinho for alleged discrimination.
The first hearing on the case is on January 6.
