Why Ramdev, Team Anna can`t see corruption by BJP
Congress hit out at Ramdev and Team Anna for attacking the UPA government over corruption.
New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday hit out at Ramdev and Team Anna for attacking the UPA government over corruption saying that their "mindset" is exposed as they did not name anyone from the BJP, despite the "glaring" graft charges against a number of Opposition party leaders.
"They have taken so many names against whom they claim to have evidence of corruption. But they have not taken any name from the BJP. They are unable to look at people with glaring corruption charges like former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, former BJP President Bangaru Laxman or Reddy brothers. It shows their mindset," party spokesperson Rashid Alvi said. Regarding the decision of Team Anna and Ramdev to start fresh agitations in August over the issue of black money and corruption, Alvi merely said people have a constitutional right to do so if they desire.
LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan took a jibe at Hazare and Ramdev over the agitation saying "elections are due in 2014. Ramdev has also formed a party. Anna Hazare should contest elections with him and let the people elect the so-called clean persons." He said that their agitation is "politically motivated".
