Heart-melting! Football club Everton donates more than 1.5 crores for treatment of 5-year-old cancer patient
A fundraiser was launched in an attempt to raise a total of GBP 700,000 for the Bradley`s treatment with 200,000 being pledged by Everton FC.
New Delhi: A recent English Premier League football match became more special when a 5-year-old cancer patient Bradley Lowery was made the mascot of his favorite club Sunderland in the encounter against Everton.
A fundraiser was launched in an attempt to raise a total of GBP 700,000 for the Bradley's treatment with 200,000 being pledged by Everton FC.
Toffees will also be inviting Bradley and his family to the return game at Goodison Park and the club will auction signed shirts from the game to support the fund.
Everton ended up defeating hosts Sunderlan 3-0 in the match with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scoring an 11th-minute hat-trick to end his goal draught.
