Karna BJP chief meets CM, discuss various issues
Party state President KS Eswarappa today held discussions on various issues with Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda.
Eswarappa, who came under fire from former Chief Minister B
S Yeddyurappa, was closetted with Gowda for about 20 minutes,
during which they discussed about the ministry expansion and
upcoming legislature session.
Sources close to Eswarappa said, Yeddyurappa`s demand for
a position and the campaign being mounted by the supporters of
the former Chief Minister, which has dented the image of the
party, also came up for discussion.
Yeddyurappa had hit out at Eswarappa for his statements
that no position could be given to him till courts cleared him
of corruption charges.
Yeddyurappa has been lobbying for a suitable position ever
since he was removed from the post of Chief Minister in August
last year on corruption charges and has said he will wait till
January 15 for the BJP high command to take a decision on his
demand.
"I myself will change after January 15", Yeddyurappa said
last week in Shimoga.
He was made to quit by the central leadership after he
was indicted in the Lokayukta report on illegal mining and
replaced by D V Sadananda Gowda.
