Mumbai: Frequent statements by Chief Minister
Prithviraj Chavan on key ministries being in the hands of
coalition partner NCP "will not help", Maharashtra Deputy
Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has said.
"Chavan can`t complain about not having enough power. When
Shahrukh Khan`s film (My Name is Khan) ran into trouble with
Shiv Sena, then Chief Minister Ashok Chavan had taken control
of the Home Department, which is handled by NCP," Pawar said
here yesterday.
In an apparent jibe at NCP, Chavan had said that some
coalition partners in Delhi as well as in the state behaved as
if they "own" their departments.
Earlier too, Chavan had said that to give home ministry to NCP in the state was "a mistake". PTI
