Rahul Gandhi`s remarks were wrong: Ajit Pawar
Maharashtra Dy CM and NCP leader Ajit Pawar said that Rahul Gandhi`s comment on migration from Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra was wrong.
Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister
and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said that Congress general
secretary Rahul Gandhi`s yesterday`s comment on migration from
Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra was wrong.
When asked about his views on Rahul`s remarks -- where the Congress leader asked how long the youth from Uttar Pradesh would keep going to Maharashtra to beg for work -- Pawar said the comment was misplaced. "Migrants are hard-working people. Use of such words is unacceptable. According to me, every individual should be respected," Pawar said.
The NCP leader added that he was commenting as "a common citizen", and these should not be seen as the views of the NCP, or the state government. PTI
