Manchester: Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw suffered a horror injury early in the team`s opening Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.

The game was held up for almost 10 minutes as Shaw received treatment on the pitch from a posse of medical staff before being stretchered off with an oxygen mask over his face.

Shaw was surging into the box when he was hit with a crunching tackle by Hector Moreno and seemed to suffer a bad break to his leg.

He was replaced by Marcus Rojo. The game was goal-less when it restarted.
