Paris: Midfielder Paul Pogba left the training camp of the French football team on Thursday and travelled to Turin to continue his recovery from a sprained right ankle.

The 22-year-old Juventus player was injured while training on Wednesday and underwent an MRI scan that confirmed the problem, the French Football Federation (FFF) said, reports Efe.

Pogba was called up to play with France in the friendlies against Armenia on Thursday night in Nice and then against Denmark in Copenhagen on Sunday.

SInce he was unable to play those matches, head coach Didier Deschamps decided to send Pogba "immediately" to his club Juventus, the FFF said.
