But on Monday morning, the Uruguayan players were left utterly confused as they were treated to Chile`s national anthem ahead of their Copa America Centenario Group C clash with Mexico in Arizona.



After Mexico players reveled in their national anthem, Uruguyans were waiting for their "Orientales, La Patria O La Tumba!", but instead the PA system at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale played out "Himno Nacional Mexicano".


If it was not enough a humiliation, Uruguay suffered a 1-3 defeat to Mexico in an not-so smooth match, which witnessed both the sides losing one player each.
