This is the third consecutive meeting between the two sides. PSG knocked Chelsea out last time around, while the French side were beaten by the Londoners a year before that.

Interestingly, both their previous meetings were settled by the away goals rule.

While Laurent Blanc's side is the front runner in Ligue 1 at the moment, Guus Hiddink's Blues are still in the bottom half of the table.

Chelsea's fortunes have improved since Jose Mourinho's departure, but this clash at the Parc des Princes is being touted as the true test of their resolve.

Unfortunately for them, skipper John Terry will play no part in this crucial encounter due to an injury.

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 11 games, while PSG haven't lost any of their 44 previous domestic matches in France.

Possible starting line-ups:

Chelsea XI: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Baba Rahman, Mikel, Matic, Pedro, Fabregas, Willian, Costa.

PSG XI: Trapp, Van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, Luiz, Maxwell, Motta, Rabiot, Matuidi, Di Maria, Ibrahimovic, Lucas.
