Rains bring some respite from heat in Kolkata

An average of 25 mm rainfall was reported in the city, according to Met department. Rains accompanied by high velocity winds lashed South Bengal districts, including Burdwan, South 24 Parganas and Howrah.
Meanwhile, water logging was reported from certain parts of Kolkata due to the heavy downpour, which lasted nearly half-an-hour from around 5.30 pm. PTI
