The two-time champions will be pitted against Kevin Muscat`s dual winners Melbourne Victory in Melbourne next Sunday (May 17) to decide this season`s champions.

Sydney FC beat Victory on penalties after the 2010 A-League Grand Final finished locked at 1-1 after regulation time.

Skipper Alex Brosque scored a double with youngsters Bernie Ibini and Chris Naumoff icing the win with goals over the Josep Gombau-coached Adelaide United.

Brosque scored his goals either side of half-time for Sydney to lead the Reds 3-0 after 47 minutes.

Impressive teenager Naumoff clinched victory with a clinical finish in the final minutes after Adelaide netted a 74th-minute consolation goal through Craig Goodwin.

Melbourne Victory reached their first A-League grand final in five years with a 3-0 win over cross-town rivals Melbourne City in Friday`s other semi-final.

Besart Berisha and Kosta Barbarouses fired the A-League premiers to a 2-0 half-time lead before veteran striker Archie Thompson came off the bench to net a late third goal.
