Imran has no future in Pakistan: Gilani
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan will challenge Yousuf Raza Gilani`s Pakistani People`s Party in next year`s elections.
Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, has said he has no future in the country.
Gilani, who is on a five-day visit to London said, "He (Imran Khan) is a good cricketer. But he has no future in Pakistan." Khan, the cricketer-turned-politician, will challenge Gilani`s Pakistani People`s Party (PPP) in next year`s elections, and has a growing following among young people, reports The Guardian.
Khan had recently said Pakistan’s new generation is ready to develop and enhance relations with India. “We will try to solve the issue of Kashmir if we form a government,” Khan had said, adding that the PTI would not join any coalition and would contest in the elections independently.
