But the Frenchman last Sunday produced a screamer from outside the box to justify why Jose Mourinho agreed to dole out 89 million pounds for the former Juventus player.


The 23-year-old has received his fair share of criticism since his second arrival at Old Trafford this summer, but the talented playmaker every now and then managed to silence his critics.


The Premier League fixture at the Liberty Stadium against Swansea was one such moment, and a brilliant one.


After a slow start, United found the groove in the 15th minute with Anthony Martial linking up with Pogba just outside the Swansea area, then the Frenchman delivered a lofted past to Wayne Rooney, who was already inside the box. Rooney the returned the pass to Pogba, who volleyed past the defence for the opening goal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic then scored two quick goals to give the Red Devils a 3-0 nil at half-time. The hosts reduced the gap in the second half through a Mike van der Hoorn strike, but it was all three points to United.
