Golfer Vani Kappor grabs her 5th title of the season
Hero Order Of Merit Leader Vani led the field from the very first round and never looked back, claiming the title by a huge margin of 10 shots.
Bangalore: Vani Kapoor continued their rampaging run, carding another sub-par round to win the ninth Leg of the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour at the Clover Greens Golf Course here today.
Vani carded a one-under 70 to clinch her fifth title of the season. She has been in phenomenal form this season, as she has now shot eight consecutive under par rounds on the tour starting from round number 2 of leg 7 at Classic Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon.
Gauri Monga finished second with a total score of 217, followed by Amandeep Drall and Saaniya Sharma in third and fourth positions respectively with scores of 219 and 222. The Rs 6,00,000 event culminated today.

She started impressively, carding a birdie on the very 1st hole and added three more to her tally on the 9th, 12th and 15th holes. Her bogeys came on the 7th, 8th and 17th holes. She finished the round with a total score of 207 after 54 holes.
Delhi's Gauri Monga played an even-par round of 71 to take the second position. Her round included two birdies on the 1st and 13th holes with an equal number of bogeys on the 9th and 11th to finish with a total score of 217 after the final round.
Panchkula's Amandeep Drall carded one-over 72 to finish third. Her card included three birdies on the 8th, 12th and 18th holes with bogeys on the 5th, 7th, 9th and 15th.
Saaniya Sharma was far from her best in the final round. She had an indifferent start and carded bogeys on the 3th, 4th and 10th. She also had a triple bogey on the 9th hole, but birdies on the 6th and 17th improved her score line. She returned a card of 4 over 75.
Shweta Galande could not replicate her second round performance and finished fifth with a total score of 223. Her card of five-over 76 on the day included two birdies on the 11th and 14th holes, and four bogeys on the 3rd, 4th, 12th and 18th. She also dropped three shots on the 8th hole.
Ankita Tiwana and Neha Tripathi finished tied sixth with a total score of 224, followed by Kapurthala golfer Gursimar Badwal in 8th position with a score of 229.
Mehar Atwal and Afshan Fatima finished tied 9th with identical totals of 234.
The tour will now move to the KGA Course in Bengaluru for leg 10 in July.
