Thane: Two criminals, lodged in the police lock up at the Vikramgadh police station here escaped in the wee hours on Saturday, police said.
PI A N Sandbor of Vikramgadh police station said the two accused were detained under MOCCA and lodged in lockup since last one week. Both detainees-- Anuj Chowgule and Royal E Sequeira cut the iron grill of the cell and escaped around four in the morning, he said. Immediately, police spread a drag net and were successful in arresting Anuj within the limits of the Manor police station. Hunt is on for the other escapee, he added. PTI
