Lucknow: Nine more people on Saturday died in cold-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh, where dense fog made movement of road and rail traffic difficult, officials said. Three people died in Azamgarh and Pratapgarh each, two in Ballia and one in Balrampur in cold-related incidents, they said.
Cold wave conditions continued to prevail in the state and temperature fell appreciably in Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Lucknow divisions. Agra with minimum 2.5 deg C was the coldest place in the state.
