TRS supports BJP`s hunger strike for weavers
Telangana Rashtra Samithi,expressed its solidarity with the BJP which has launched a three-day hunger strike to highlight the conditions of weavers.

expressed its solidarity with the BJP which has launched a
three-day hunger strike to highlight the pathetic conditions
of weavers.
Supporting the BJP stand, TRS floor leader in the state assembly, E Rajender, said that his party had also tried to help the community and made repeated representations to the state government. But the state failed to take any measures.
Demanding waiver of loans given to weavers, he said the state government should set up residential schools for the children of weavers in those districts where majority of people still depend on this age old art(weaving). BJP national secretary P Muralidhar Rao went on three-day hunger strike on Wednesday to highlighting the pathetic conditions of weavers of handloom and powerloom sector.
Addressing the hunger strike camp on Thursday, BJP national convenor Mahender Pandey alleged that weavers` community has been neglected by the successive Congress governments both at the centre and the state. Veteran freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji, President of AP state backward classes welfare association Krishnaiah and members of various weavers societies visited the hunger strike camp and extended their cooperation.
