If Rosberg is on pole in the last race, than Hamilton is 17 points clear of his team-mate in Drivers Championship. But as the rule of double points will apply at Abu Dhabi, both the drivers have the chance to claim the world title.

The Briton needs to finish second, even if his co-driver wins the race, to win his second World Championship title. However, Hamilton is well aware of the fact that one bad day at office can take the title away from him, even after winning ten GP's this season, if compared with the five won by the German after 18 races. But Nico needs some luck as well, as Hamilton will also start the race from the front row.

The double point rule implemented this season has really made the last race of the season quite interesting.

If Nico manages to win the title then it would be his maiden world title, however, for Hamilton it would be his second title, as he won the thrilling 2008 season by a single point, where he managed to finish within top five in the finale race, to grab his first World title.

The fierce rivalry between the Mercedes duo entire season has made the title race even more fascinating. But for Mercedes and the F1 fans, its undoubtedly a win-win situation.

Sunday would also be a memorable day for two-time champion Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and quadruple winner Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) as they would drive for their respective teams for the last time, before joining the new teams from next season.
