Gangster kills 8 to avenge father`s death, held
A dreaded gangster, who carries a reward of Rs 1 lakh for involvement in the killing of eight people to avenge his father`s death, was arrested.

of eight people to avenge his father`s death, was arrested
here, police said on Wednesday.
Anil Rohilla and his associate Sunil, both residents of Haryana, were arrested from Narela in north-west Delhi yesterday and police recovered a huge cache of sophisticated weapons like four 9 mm bore pistols, 1 .32 bore pistol, 3 spare magazines and 65 live cartridges from their possession. Rohilla was carrying a reward of Rs one lakh for his involvement in eight cases of murder and one of attempt to murder and was evading the police for the past four years.
Acting on a specific input, police laid a trap at MIG flats in Narela and intercepted two persons who fired at police party but were overpowered.
During interrogation, Rohilla revealed that his family has a criminal history and his father Ram Niwas was involved in five cases of murder his elder brother Sombir is involved in two cases of murder in Haryana.
"He stated that his family has a running feud with another family belonging to Phool Singh in his village. In the year 2000, his father Ram Niwas alias Rame was shot dead by Phool Singh," Ashok Chand, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime and Railways, said. "He and his brother Sombir decided to take revenge which led to a bloody trail of revenge and bloodshed. The two formed a gang to avenge the killing of their father," Chand said.
After his father`s murder, Rohilla shifted to Delhi but they kept changing places due to threat from the rival gang.
In the year 2007, he formed a gang to take revenge and also started committing robberies to finance his activities, Chand said.
Sunil had also been involved in several robbery cases.
