Rewa: Calling the BJP-led government in Madhya Pradesh as "corrupt and marked by scandals", Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday said that people of the state would not elect BJP in the next assembly polls.
He was addressing a `Kisan Sangharsh Parv` gathering at TRS ground on the 86th birth anniversary of former Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Shriniwas Tiwari. "Everywhere, from police station to court, tehsil to block, there is corruption in the state," Singh alleged.
Saying that the all-round development work in the Vindhya region was the gift of late Arjun Singh as well as Shriniwas Tiwari, he expressed hope that Congressmen Ajay Singh Rahul and Sunderlal Tiwari should become a similar pair in the state. The senior Congress leader said that his party would jam the roads in the state on September 19 over several issues in the state including the law and order situation and corruption.
