Kerala sports minister threatened me, called me corrupt: Anju Bobby George
Anju said that minister accused her and other athletes of being supporters of the opposition party and threatened with consequences as the LDF is now in power.
New Delhi: In a shocking development, Indian athlete Anju Bobby George on Thursday filed a complaint against Sports Minister EP Jayarajan for allegedly harassing her and other members of Kerala Sports Council.
Anju said she was she was humiliated and threatened by Jayarajan, when she paid a courtesy call to the minister, who assumed charge two weeks ago.
"Have you thought we would not come to power? Now, just wait and see," the minister reportedly told Anju according to Manoramaonline.com.
Upset with the incident, Anju met chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and submitted a letter of complaint.
She said that minister accused them all of being supporters of the opposition party and threatened with consequences as the LDF is now in power.
Jayarajan made headlines recently, when he said that boxing legend Muhammed Ali’s death was a great loss for Kerala as he had won many medals for the state.
