Odense: Leading Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and the men's doubles pair of Manu Atri and B. Sumeeth Reddy crashed out in the second round of the $650,000 Denmark Open Superseries Premier here on Thursday.

World No.1 and top seeded Saina was stunned by unseeded Japanese Minatsu Mitani 18-21, 13-21. With this win in 39 minutes, 2014 World Championships bronze medallist and world No.18 Minatsu improved her head-to-head record to 4-5 against the 2015 World Championships silver medallist and 2012 London Olympics bronze medallist from Hyderabad.

Fifth seed Srikanth lost against Indonesian Tommy Sugiarto 15-21, 17-21 in 39 minutes at the Odense Sports Park. With this win, world No.12 Sugiarto took a 2-1 lead in career meetings against the Guntur-born Srikanth.

World No.20 pair of Manu-Sumeeth gave a valiant fight before losing to Chinese Taipei's Lee Sheng Mu and Tsai Chia Hsin 19-21, 22-20, 19-21 in 51 minutes.

With these losses, India's campaign ended in the men's competitions.
