New Delhi: The show opened with GM Daniel Bryan talking about the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at No Mercy. He highlighted the fact that SmackDown will witness its first ever women's division contract signing. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss entered the ring and signed the contract, but not before having an altercation.

The Miz was livid about having to defend his title against Dolph Ziggler. He confronted Bryan backstage. Unfortunately for Miz, the GM had other plans. Bryan told Miz that he was happy to cancel the match but that would also mean an end to his contract renegotiation. Bryan went on to add that the new contract could only be implemented if Miz defended his title.


The Usos beat American Alpha and earned the right to take on Heath Slater and Rhyno at No Mercy


After their win, The Usos confronted Heath Slater and Rhyno backstage and threatened to take Slater's knee out.



Baron Corbin defeated Apollo Crews


Jack Swagger, who was positioned at the commentator's table, got a stare down from the winner at the end of the contest.



Backstage, Ziggler promised to shut The Miz up with a resounding win.

As soon as the match ended, the lights went out and Rowan disappeared. Bray Wyatt showed up on the screen with yet another message for Orton.



Naomi & Nikki Bella vs Carmella & Natalya fight ended in no time after Carmella assaulted Nikki Bella while not tagged in.



Backstage, AJ Styles said he did not have any issues with John Cena and Dean Ambrose because was was much superior to them.

When the match ended, Styles made a surprise entry and attacked both of them. Bryan entered the ring and said that Shane McMahon promised Dean Ambrose a one-on-one WWE World Championship rematch. He announced that match for SmackDown Live's next episode. Ambrose, who has recovered by then, came from behind and assaulted Styles.
