Jawan commits suicide in Manipur

A jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself by his service rifle at the Manipur commando complex near here, official sources said.

Imphal: A jawan on Wednesday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself by his service rifle at the Manipur commando complex near here, official sources said. The reason for taking the extreme step by Bijen Kumar (32) of the 37th Assam Rifles was yet to be ascertained, the sources said. The jawan hailed from Jammu and Kashmir.
