The 38-year old victim posted as a booking clerk at Beawar junction under North-Western Railway (NWR) received 70 per cent burn injuries and is being treated at a government hospital.
"The woman was allegedly harassed sexually by her two colleagues in Beawar on March 14 and her allegations were already being probed by a three-member team," a NWR spokesperson said. "Today, she went to the DRM office and set herself abalze in front of the office. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and is being treated," he said.
DRM Sanjay Das was not present in the office when the incident took place, he said. She also lodged an FIR with the GRP few days back against the accused and wanted to meet the officer today but he is out of station, he said.
According to local police, the woman poured some inflammable and set herself on fire.
"The woman received around 70 per cent burn injuries and undergoing treatment," the police said.
"Inquiry against booking clerk Bhanwar Lal Chaudhary and TC Sarabjit Singh is going on and action will be taken if they are found guilty," the spokesperson added.
