TNCC sets up panel to work for DMK nominee in RK Nagar
Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) on Monday constituted a 40-member panel to work for ally DMK`s nominee N Marudhu Ganesh in the April 12 R K Nagar Assembly bypoll here.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) on Monday constituted a 40-member panel to work for ally DMK's nominee N Marudhu Ganesh in the April 12 R K Nagar Assembly bypoll here.
TNCC president Su Thirunavukkarasar in a press release here said the panel will be headed by North Chennai District unit president R Manohar and includes among others senior functionaries including former Chennai Mayor and party's South Chennai District president 'Karate' R Thiagarajan as members.
He said the panel would coordinate with cadres and work for the DMK candidate's victory in the bypoll.
AIADMK-Sasikala faction's T T V Dinakaran, the party's rebel camp (O Panneerselvam) candidate E Madhusudanan, Marudhu Ganesh (DMK), BJP's Gangai Amaran, CPI(M) nominee R Loganathan are in the fray for the bypoll which was necessitated by the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
