Watch: Wild elephant spotted in residential areas of Coimbatore

A high movement of wild elephants is being seen due to the beginning of the migration and harvesting season.
In a separate incident, an 80-year-old woman was attacked by a wild elephant in Coimbatore on Tuesday night. She later succumbed to her injuries.
A 70-year-old resident of Kasthuripalayam was also injured after being attacked by a wild elephant.
Recently, a CCTV video had emerged from Coimbatore's Periyanaickenpalayam where an elephant could be seen entering a house in search of food. The elephant entered the house but soon left without causing any damage.
The footage was reportedly recorded on the night of November 30. Seeing the door of the house open, the calf had entered the house. A car and two bikes could also be seen in the video.
