New Delhi: Nothing, a consumer technology start-up based in London, has finally launched its first smartphone on July 12. The phone (1) is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. The phone (1) also has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone is presently available for pre-order in India through e-commerce portal Flipkart, which is the country's exclusive channel partner for the Nothing phone (1). The phone (1) has two cameras on the back. This combines a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS and EIS, as well as a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor. Pei displays unprocessed camera samples directly from the phone (1).
When capturing video, a red LED on the back of the phone illuminates to indicate that recording is active. The phone can record up to 4K video (1), according to Pei, who also revealed that the launch event is being recorded on the Nothing phone (1).
