New Delhi: Despite reports of call drop or slowing down data speed, Reliance Jio's SIMs, which the company said would be available for free, are selling in black market between Rs 50 to Rs 500.

Jio's announcement of free 4G SIMs, Welcome Offer of unlimited HD voice and video calls, unlimited SMS (restricted to 100 per day) and high data speed going up to 135 Mbps has resulted in insane demand for the Jio connection.

As per reports, some mobile retailers want to make the hay while the Sun shines. They are selling Jio SIM cards in black market anywhere between Rs 50 to Rs 500.

As per The Economic Times report, Reliance stores themselves were selling SIM cards to local mobile retailers. Besides the overwhelming demand, server problems in retail outlets, shortage of forms, have hampered the sale of SIMS.
