New Delhi: In a bid to promote cashless transaction, state-run BSNL is in process to launch bill payment facility using private digital wallets such as Mobiqwik and Paytm for its customers.

The facility will be functional by the end of December this year.


"BSNL is in talks with PSP's like Paytm, Mobiqwik and Indepay for using e-wallet and prepaid cards through BSNL website. This measure shall promote easier and faster payments of BSNL services using e-wallets and prepaid cards," BSNL Director (Finance) Sujata Ray said in a statement.
