According to NDTV, the Uttar Pradesh Police will be holding a training session for cops to tell them how to distinguish between a 'male friend', 'boy friend' and an eve-teaser.

A senior UP Police officer Navneet Sikera has been tasked with training the cops on how to spot a 'Romeo' and how should they handle the situation.

The training session will be held twice every week and each batch of cops will have 50 cops, including women officers, according to UP Police.

During the session, the cops are reportedly being advised not to harass couples and told to behave responsibly in such situations.

The anti-Romeo squads has the go-ahead from the UP Chief Minister's Office but with a rider that they should not create unnecessary trouble for general public.

However, the squad, which was formed to keep an eye on eve-teasers, came under attack for harassing couples.
