Identify foreign nationals staying illegally in UP: Yogi Adityanath directs police officials
Uttar Pradesh CM has directed police officials to launch a survey to identify foreign nationals staying illegally in the state.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed police officials to launch a survey to identify foreign nationals staying illegally in the state.
The chief minister also said that an intensive campaign should be conducted to check infiltration of suspicious elements from states sharing borders with Uttar Pradesh.
"A statewide survey of foreign nationals, who are staying illegally in the state should be conducted, and they should be sent out," an official UP government statement said quoting Adityanath.
The chief minister issued the directions at a meeting to review the law and order situation in the state yesterday.
"There is no place for criminals in the state, and they should be forced to leave the state. Inefficient and insensitive police station in-charges should be identified, and they should be shown the door," he said.
Adityanath asked police officials to make the state "crime-free" and "corruption-free" and directed them to crackdown on criminals.
"If there is any untoward incident during Deepawali and Chhath Puja, action will be taken against the police officials concerned. Continuous patrolling using 3,200 vehicles of Dial-100 service should be ensured to keep an eye on criminal elements," the chief minister said.
