Amethi: A suspected object was found in Amritsar-bound Akal Takht Express on Wednesday night.

The unattended package was stuffed inside the toilet in one of the coaches of the express train in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi railway station.


The incident triggered panic among the passengers.



A Bomb Disposal Squad was also rushed to the spot to examine the object.


In view of passengers' security, the authorities decided to vacate two coaches of the train.


A letter was also found with the suspected object, which warned of revenge for the killing of  Lashkar-e-Toiba's regional commander in Kashmir Abu Dujana in an encounter on August 1. 



The letter stated that an explosive was planted to take revenge for Dujana's killing by security forces.


A powdery substance was found inside the unattended object, which the authorities believe was a low-intensity device.


A low intensity device was found, it has been deactivated and train has left for its destination, Saumitra Yadav, SP GRP, informed reporters.


The incident comes days head of the country's 70th Independence Day and raises an alarm for the security agencies which are trying their best to prevent any kind of eventualities.
