Minor gangrape victim sets herself ablaze, dies
In a shocking case, a minor girl - victim of gangrape - committed suicide after setting herself ablaze. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh`s Hamirpur.
Hamirpur: In a shocking case, a minor girl – victim of gangrape – committed suicide after setting herself ablaze. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur.
The victim was allegedly gang-raped by two brothers from the same town.
A case has been registered against the brothers.
“FIR has been registered against two brothers on complaint of victim's father,” said Lal Sahab Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
The victim's body has been sent for postmortem, added cops
At the time of the incident, the minor was alone at home. Her mother was away for Makar Sankranti celebrations, while her brother and father had gone out for work.
On finding the victim alone, the perpetrators raped her.
Disturbed by the entire event, the victim set herself ablaze later on.
