The move is surprising given the general practice of many MLAs and MPs of adopting a go-slow policy when asked to vacate their cozy, leafy, bungalows.

However, Ravidas Mehrotra, who was a minister in the Samajwadi Pary government, was among the first to vacate his bungalow.

Interestingly, the lock hanging on the locked door of the bungalow is of a make named 'Modi magic', made in Aligarh.

Mehrotra had contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections from the Lucknow Central constituency, the seat he had won in 2012. However, this time he was defeated by Brijesh Pathak of the BJP.

Meanwhile, the BJP has almost confirmed that the oath ceremony of new UP CM and ministers to will be held on 19th March at Smriti Upwan, Lucknow.

But the party is yet to name its CM pick, even as reports named union minister Manoj Sinha as the front runner.
