The viral video shows a man sitting in a car and posing like UP CM Yogi Adityanath, while others acting like his personal security guards in Varanasi.

The video, which was first put by news agency ANI, showed people greeting the UP CM look-alike and showering his car with flower petals.

The incident took place on March 29 – the occasion of Sant Jhulelal Jayanti.

It later emerged that Yogi Adityanath's convoy of 'security commandos', carrying fake guns, was part of several tableaux showcased by the Sindhi community members to mark Sant Jhulelal Jayanti.

While some enjoyed the event, some others termed it as a major breach of law and order in the BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh and demanded action against those involved in it.

The firebrand saint-politician and Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath was sworn in on March 19 as the 21st Chief Minister of UP, after the BJP won a landslide victory in the state, bagging 312 seats out of 403.

Adityanath along with 23 cabinet minister took oath at Lucknow’s Kanshiram Smriti Upvan in the presence of Governor Ram Naik, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, and other senior leaders.

Soon after taking over as CM, Yogi Adityanath had banned the use of red beacons by his council of ministers.
