UP: Laws more strict for COVID precautions violation, Hefty fine for not wearing mask

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday amended the Corona Epidemic Act, 2020, to impose heavy penalties for not wearing masks in public. According to the new amendments, a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed on those found without masks.
