Why the Congress is repeatedly hurt over the faith of Hindus?

Congress leader Udit Raj has questioned the Kumbh Mela. Udit Raj said that if no religion should be taught with government money, then why was the Kumbh Mela organized at government expense, why did it spent 4,200 crores from the exchequer at Kumbh Mela.
