Desperate banana farmer tries to save crop from volcano ash in Spain

Banana farmer Tomas Perez was struggling on Thursday (September 30) to save as much as possible from his banana plantation in La Palma following the devastation wrought by the Cumbre Vieja volcano, which has been ejecting a destructive cocktail of ash, smoke and lava for more than 10 days.
