Pro-British DUP party narrowly wins Northern Ireland vote

Northern Ireland: The pro-British Democratic Unionist Party came first in Northern Ireland`s snap election, winning just one seat more than Irish republicans Sinn Fein, according to final results on Saturday.

The DUP held onto its prime position with 28 seats to Sinn Fein`s 27 -- a major boost -- in the province`s semi-autonomous 90-seat parliament.
