Beijing: At least two primary school students were drowned and four others missing after they went for a swim in a river in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, police said on Thursday.

The students, who were from Qingshuikou Township Central Primary School in Beiliu City, went for swimming after school yesterday.


Frogmen aided the search overnight and found the two bodies, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.


The city government have asked schools to warn students of the dangers of strong river currents.
